Navigating the Community Hub:

When you go to the Community Hub, you'll see a sidebar menu on the left, which you can use to navigate your way around all the community features.

Items in the sidebar appear bold when there's been recent activity.

1. Top section: "Keep up to Date"

Here you'll find all the latest news and community activity. From this section you can jump into:

  • The Latest Gallery Uploads - where you can see all the tutorial, practice pic and Indy artworks that have been uploaded to the respective galleries.
  • Latest Discussions - from here you can see all the discussions that are happening in the various rooms (listed in lower sections)
  • Events Calendar - from this page you can enter the Live Zoom Room to connect in real time with other members, and you can see dates in the calendar when others have planned real-time sessions you're invited to join
  • Member News - if you've missed any member emails, you can catch up with them here
  • Artwork of the Month - get inspired by looking at past and present winners of AOTM. There's often a very inspirational reason they've been chosen!

2. Middle section: Discussion Rooms

The Discussion Rooms are like a forum, with different spaces (which we're calling "rooms") that serve different purposes:

  1. Rooms where you can connect with other members - including welcoming new members (or introducing yourself if you haven't yet), finding an art buddy and chatting about anything & everything.
  2. Skill growing rooms - where you can find, start and join conversations about developing your skills in the specific areas of painting, drawing and photography.
  3. Creative practice rooms - places where you can go to discuss different areas around creative practice, including sharing wins, dealing with creative blocks, nature journaling and more. The Monthly Member Challenge also lives in this section.
  4. Member groups - these are groups where you can connect with other members around things you may have in common, such as personal circumstances or special interests. If you'd like there to be a group that's not in the list, here's how to set it up.

Discussion Rooms are looked after by Room Leaders. If you'd like to know what a Room Leader is, and how you could be one, read here.

3. Lower section: Find members

Here's where you can look up other members by searching for them in the Member Directory or browsing the Member Map.
