Can I print or sell my artwork produced in Nature Studio?
In short, no you can't reproduce the artwork you produce from the tutorials but Anna's happy for you to sell your own tutorial artwork so long as you accompany it with a proper credit to Anna.
The artwork you produce via reproducing the video tutorials or Practice Pics are considered legally to be ‘Derivative Works’ and as such the copyright remains with Anna Mason and any other photographer whose work has been used for these.
What you can do with these artwork you produce:
- You may share photographs of the artwork you create based on the video tutorials and Practice Pics online but you must always credit Anna whenever the work is displayed (including online).
- You may sell the physical drawings or paintings you create based on the video tutorials and Practice Pics (for instance in a local art exhibition) but you must always credit ‘Anna Mason’s Nature Studio’ whenever the work is displayed for sale.
- You can reproduce your own artwork provided the reproduction is for your own non-commercial use (for instance you can print it on to a Christmas card you send out to your friends and family) and you must credit ‘Anna Mason’s Nature Studio’ along with the reproduction.
Wording to use to credit Anna Mason’s Nature Studio:
- For an artwork produced via an Anna Mason video tutorial: ‘Painting produced using an online video tutorial at Anna Mason’s Nature Studio’
- For an artwork produced done via a Jennifer Rose video tutorial: 'Painting produced using a Jennifer Rose online video tutorial at Anna Mason's Nature Studio'.
- For an artwork produced from a Practice Pic or other photo supplied anywhere in Nature Studio: ‘Painting produced using a photograph provided by Anna Mason’s Nature Studio’
What you can’t do with these paintings you produce:
You may not reproduce your versions of these artwork for commercial use (for instance as an illustration or onto greetings cards you intend to sell)
