Lamp Black

Pigment number: PBk6/7

Anna only uses ready-made black paint on subjects where there is a lot of black area to cover.

The benefit of using this ready-mixed black is that you don't have to keep remixing colours when you need more paint.

Substitution information:

A combination of Paynes Grey and Burnt Sienna (50/50 mix) will work just as well for creating black.

Fun fact: Lamp Black gets its name because it's made of pure Carbon - originally being made from the residual soot in oil lamps.
