Tutorial 'Levels' and your Profile

Tutorials are ranked at either Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced or Pro level.

You can filter tutorials by Level in the Tutorial Library page.

It’s best to start with a few Beginner Level tutorials, even if you’re quite experienced working with other watercolour methods.

It’s best to complete at least a few beginner tutorials before moving on to an Intermediate level subject.

Before taking an Advanced level class, it’s best get at least a few intermediate tutorials under your belt.

Pro level tutorials are always ‘Solo’ tutorials which are ones you attempt without a video demo from Anna. For more about Solo tutorials see here.

How Levels relate to the your website Profile

Once you mark a tutorial as complete (instructions for that here), the badge associated with your profile will change on the Progress tab of your Profile Page:

And it will appear with your profile pic wherever you interact around the website. This helps other members understand what stage you're at with the tutorials.

Your badge will always default to the highest level of tutorial you’ve completed. So, if you marked an Intermediate level tutorial as complete but you were very unhappy with your result, you might want to mark the tutorial as ‘incomplete’ again in order to revert back to having the ‘Beginner’ level badge show for you.

The number next to your badge reflects the number of tutorials you've completed at that level. In the example above, John Smith has completed 3 Beginner level tutorials.

After completing 1 Intermediate level tutorial, the badge will change and the number will begin counting from 1:
