Winsor Lemon (one of the Essential Range of the 10 most useful paints)

Pigment number: PY175 

This is a great mid-yellow in that it's not biased towards red or towards green and it's transparent. Steer clear of yellows such as Cadmium Yellow or Lemon Yellow which contain Nickel Titanate or Nickel Titanium Oxide, they're really dull and they tend to create a much less vibrant result.
