Bright Violet (Holbein)

This is the darkest and brightest mid-purple that Anna has found. Anna used to use Bright Violet by Holbein in some of the older tutorials. She still loves this paint and it's worth having if you can find it. But because getting hold of this paint was proving tricky for some members, she's more recently replaced it with Quinacridone Purple by Daniel Smith. 

Recommended Substitutes

• Bright Violet was a touch more pink than Quinacridone Violet (PV55) so if you're using this for a tutorial where Anna is using Bright Violet, then you can match the colour by adding a little Opera Rose (Pigment number PR122) to the Quinacridone Violet (PV55).
