I'm new, where do I start!?

Start by watching the Welcome videos, then dive in by pouring a warming drink and watching the first few videos in the Realistic Watercolour 101 course, which will get you off to the best start here.

The Realistic Watercolour 101 course leads you into painting a series of tutorials, starting with 1 paint and adding one more with each new subject until you've built up to painting with a limited palette of 6 colours.

This route will springboard you into being able to work through the other tutorials and courses in Nature Studio.

You can further deepen your knowledge by dipping in to watch Explainer classes in the Knowledge Base: a bank of helpful videos which you can come back to watch anytime. They're designed to give you an understanding of everything you need to know to succeed here.

The Knowledge Base can be found under the main heading Classes and covers everything from drawing, understanding colour and texture; brush techniques; how to take a photograph to paint from; colour mixing; how to prepare your painting for printing and even how to correct those watercolour mistakes if it goes a little wrong!
